Bloom Co is a new Baptist church in the heart of Ettalong Beach.
We imagine a beautiful church that is passionate about loving and ministering to the heart of God. A church where lives are changed as they encounter Jesus, where the community is strong and beautiful. A church where our prayer is simple - God, let our lives be worship.
We’ve given this church a name, Bloom Co, because to bloom means to flourish and come into full beauty and the Co is short for community, one that is alluring, immersive and inviting.
God is doing something beautiful on the Central Coast and we are feeling the call to plant what God has placed within us and to build something beautiful, authentic and God breathed. A beautiful garden of grace…
We want to invite people on a journey of becoming more like Jesus, to be part of a community that uncovers, releases and radiates beauty, cherishes simplicity, and views every facet of life as an act of worship. Whether it's comforting a crying child at 2am, a Monday morning commute, or assisting a neighbour in need, we aspire to live each moment as an act of worship.
The church God has placed inside of us has beautiful, life changing worship filled with the presence of Heaven that desperately seeks to minister to the heart of God and glorify Him above all else. It's ‘in the round’ and at times is passionately expressive and other times quiet and reflective.
Our desire is to see people immersed into an encounter with the Living God through songs, through the word of God and around the table eating and drinking together. In all of these things, we want to relentlessly pursue the presence of God and experience the power of The Holy Spirit together.
We have a great little building in the heart of downtown Ettalong Beach, 20 seconds to the shops and a minute to the beach. It's an old Uniting Church building that we have renovated. It has a beautiful sanctuary where we meet in the round and a church hall that has some amazing spaces for kids. We've put in some new grass and fences to keep the kids safe and there's plenty of parking out front. We want to create a space where people can experience the presence of God in a beautiful way with minimal distraction.
At BloomCo we are committed to partnering with parents in providing meaningful, welcoming and fun experiences in high quality, safe environments.
We want to ensure that when anyone (including children, young people and vulnerable adults) interacts with the ministries and activities of our church that they feel safe – physically, emotionally and spiritually. The NSW Government has ten Child Safe Standards for organisations with respect to children and young people and we are committed to implementing these standards continuously in our community.
Every adult working with children or youth holds a valid Working with Children Check. We use strict screening procedures. We have a process for anyone (including children and young people) to be able to report any concerns they may have, in a timely and appropriate manner, including reporting concerns to the relevant authorities.
We train our leaders and volunteers to understand their responsibilities, to ensure that BloomCo is a safe place.
